Plenty of Fish in the Sea
These pictures are taken from a short children's picture book I conceived, entitled Plenty of Fish in The Sea, about a young boy coming to terms with bereavement. I wanted the pace of it to be elegiac and ruminative, using images I had made with acrylic paints. The text is placed on the left hand page of each spread to maximise the space allowed to each scene, with cool colours, to settle the reader into a comfortable routine, until the convention is broken later, at the crux of the story. The book isn't yet finished.
